Duties & Responsibilities: Purchase/order materials such as chemicals, tankers, fragrances, miscellaneous packaging, etc. in a timely and cost-efficient manner to facilitate on-time delivery of orders and complete all associated documentation. Prepare and receive bids and make purchases within defined guidelines. Work collaboratively with suppliers and to develop multiple sourcing of quality cost efficient materials on the chemical and/or packaging side of the business. Create and update spec sheets and drawings as well as work closely with QA to trouble shoot and correct quality defects. Work with both the manufacturing and production department on out of stock items while maintaining safety stock levels to prevent outages Qualifications & Requirements: At least 5+ years' buyer experience, production buying experience is highly preferred.
