Position Summary: The Buyer II is responsible for maintain optimal inventory levels to satisfy business requirements of assigned commodities across all locations of the organization. This dynamic role will have a positive, energetic approach to working in a highly collaborative environment. Essential Responsibilities: Run reports and conduct analysis of assigned commodities. Coordinate with suppliers to obtain product or service information such as availability, delivery schedule and order status. Use knowledge of material planning to coordinate product deliveries. Prepare purchase orders or bid requests. Negotiate advantageous terms and pricing for purchases. Contact suppliers to resolve discrepancies with quantity and quality. Perform ERP system maintenance.
