Job Details: Essential Duties: Capable of fabricating and erecting assigned tasks using various types of metals, stainless steel, and galvanized black iron ranging from angle iron, channel iron, and round flat stock etc. Capable of performing the 3 major types of welding: TIG welding; ARC welding; MIG welding. Perform close tolerance to meet layout print specifications using calipers, micrometers, etc. as needed. Set up and operate welding fabricating equipment to perform jobs, blueprints, sketches, or verbal orders. Examine parts for defects and measure parts to ensure conformance with specifications. Perform machining with lathe broaching tools, drilling tapping, and other machining functions. Maintain tools and equipment in a safe clean and orderly manner including shop tools, welding, cutting gauges and welding equipment.
