The Buyer-Expeditor provides procurement transactional support by expediting the administration and delivery of purchase orders (POs) to suppliers. The Buyer-Expeditor serves as a critical link between operations and the field sales organization by taking proactive action to provide ongoing visibility of shipping and delivery status and resolving any issues causing delays. The Buyer-Expeditor will provide cost estimates, place direct orders with outside vendors, track and expedite orders, and allocate manufacturing work to the optimal suppliers. In this role you are responsible for the planning, sourcing, negotiating, and issuing of purchase orders to support manufacturing or development/engineering activities and management of inventory. Analyze inventory levels, demand profiles and lead times for components, serve as the primary point of contact with suppliers and subcontractors, as well as internal support of operational, sales and supply chain.
