Position Summary: The Production Planner is responsible for planning and preparing production schedules for manufacture of finished goods for sale to the customer through the development of the master schedule. They will convert the master schedule to a finite schedule establishing the sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders. This position will be responsible for analyzing statistical generated forecasts for reasonableness and accuracy. They will ensure that the finite schedule complies with shop floor calendar and capacity requirement planning constraints. Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. They will analyze and manage slow moving and obsolete inventory to minimize impact to the financial statements.
