Job Description

Role Summary:

The Director will be a member of the Global Procurement leadership team, working directly with the Head of Global Procurement to manage and drive strategic and administrative priorities.

The Director of Procurement Effectiveness also acts as an intermediary to internal and external stakeholders and resources on matters such as Global Procurement strategic planning, budgeting and financial management, and communication strategy. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Global Procurement reporting excellence by driving the design, development, and maintenance of operational, spend, compliance and predictive analytics reporting
  • Ensure Global Procurement policy maintenance and awareness
  • Drive implementation of Supplier Diversity program strategy and alignment with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and ESG teams
  • Ensure supplier contract database integrity through audits, compliance reporting and database maintenance
  • Manage Procurement Technology team to drive the procurement technology journey and serve as POC for Global Technology partners
  • Work with finance business partners to ensure Global Procurements remains on budget and make recommendations for any changes or re-allocations
  • Collaborates with Global Head of Procurement and Lead Team members to develop the annual business/strategic plan
  • Completes quarterly business review tracking progress on strategic initiatives and analyzing metric trends to develop recommendations to optimize team effectiveness
  • Work with audit on Procurement audits and risk reviews and keep track of all follow-up items and see them to completion with respective owners
  • Work with HR business partners to manage annual Procurement NPS survey and all related reporting and feedback considerations
  • Develop change management strategies to drive user adoption of process and technology enhancements
  • Drive management of myBuy GlobalNet site and business user training material
  • Work with corporate communications to develop and implement a communication strategy for the Procurement and execute it
  • Lead development and maintenance of Procurement SharePoint site to enable efficient information flow and associate onboarding
  • Propose agendas and topics for Procurement All Hands meetings and LT staff meetings
  • Develop a broad network in Global Procurement and keep a pulse on associate morale and needs

 

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
  • 10+ years of total relevant work experience

Preferred:

  • 5+ years of management experience
  • MBA
  • Financial services experience, in particular asset management
  • Sourcing or Procurement experience
  • Exceptional written communication skills including preparing presentations
  • Excellent demonstrated executive presence and oral communication skills
  • Influential leader able to build consensus, bring others along, and drive change adapting to people or the situation;
  • Ability to systematically builds support at multiple levels and across groups
  • Collaborative leader, able to develop effective relationships within the function and with shared services
  • Hands on and detail oriented “doer”; rolls-up his/ her sleeves and does real work
