The Maintenance & Reliability Manager is responsible for driving adherence to environmental, health, safety and security policies and procedures throughout the department, site and with third party contractors. Providing continuous oversight and execution of maintenance, reliability, and stores departments.
Responsibilities (order of priority)
Manage reliability-related activities and initiatives to drive and support operational excellence, including but not limited to predictive/preventive maintenance programs, mentoring, and field support.
Provide engineering best practices, specifications, and technology to establish the optimum design, development, and maintenance of both new and existing processes and equipment.
Support Production, Engineering, and Research and Development departments on implementation of capital, new process, and new product development.
Develop and manage a financial budget, including monthly reporting and review of current spend versus budget.
Develop, mentor, and lead a group of direct reports, manage third party contractors, and provide support to Maintenance Supervisor in supervision of indirect reports.
Required Education, Experience & Skills
Education:
The right candidate will have a strong background in leadership, continuous improvement, and chemical industry experience. Your credentials ideally include:
Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering
7-10 years of experience in a chemical plant environment or 10+ years of plant experience with direct responsibility of plant maintenance, reliability and predictive/preventive maintenance programs
