Position Overview The Buyer position will identify and procure materials and services required by the organization, using the approved procedures and best practices. This includes but is not limited to contacting and negotiating with suppliers, creating purchase orders, and reporting to management about progress. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform administration of purchase orders involving medium to high monetary expenditure or risk, engineered technical specifications, or supplementary commercial conditions. Obtain quotes from vendors and achieve cost savings through bidding, and negotiations. Review and analyze vendors bids. Communicate with suppliers and personnel to establish clear definition of requirements, and to assure performance to purchase order terms and conditions.
